A friend brought this to my birthday party earlier in the month, but I haven’t touched it until now. It’s definitely one of the odder snacks I’ve come across. It’s pretty good, too. The sugar content per serving is really not as bad as I expected.
Also, I was pleased to note this morning that I lost another 2.5 lbs since last week. I totally expected to GAIN, not lose, especially after the crazy amounts of food at the Taste of Sheepshead Bay event on Thursday. But I guess with all the walking around I did the day afterward on my date, it evened out. So now, since I started using that MyFitnessPal app to count my calories 12 days ago, I’ve lost a total of 5 lbs. That’s pretty damn good, I think. Especially pairing it with lots of walking and Zumba, and being more aware of portion sizes when eating at home (measuring cups are your friends). I’m finally dipping below the plateau I’ve been stuck at for a while now, which is a total motivation boost. Hopefully I can keep up that trend, because feels really freaking awesome to be seeing results.
In other news, I’m super lame this year (again) and have no costume or plans for Halloween. I figure I’ll just start brainstorming a costume for next year, so I at least have a ridiculous amount of time to put something homemade together. My main problem (aside from my wishy-washy decision making) is that I don’t know many people who actually go to costume parties on Halloween. If I do, they’ve never invited me. I guess I should do my own scouting for events next time, but it just kinda feels stupid to do that sort of thing alone. Hopefully I’ll make some new, socially outgoing friends by that time though (instead of mostly home bodies and dorktastic gamer types), so with some effort on my part a lack of appropriate circles need not be an issue. Working on that.
